Amazing Ways Deliveries to Business Storage Can Transform Your Business
Need stock or materials delivered while you're away? Find out how deliveries to Bee Self Storage can work for business storage customers in Stockport.

For businesses using self storage, deliveries to business storage can make life considerably easier when you’re not able to be on site.
You could be out on a job, meeting a customer, making another delivery or simply unable to wait around for a supplier who’s given you the classic “we’ll be there sometime between 8am and 4pm”.
If you’re using self storage for business stock, tools or materials, having somewhere that can potentially receive a delivery when you’re not there can make life a lot easier.
Can I Have Business Stock or Materials Delivered to My Storage Site?
At Bee Storage, in most circumstances, yes.
If you’re arranging deliveries to business storage for stock, tools or materials, having somewhere that can potentially receive a delivery when you’re not there can make life a lot easier.
Providing we’ve been notified in advance and the delivery is something we’re able to safely accommodate, we can usually arrange for it to be received at the site.
That can be particularly useful for tradespeople and businesses that spend most of the working day somewhere else.
Your business doesn’t stop because a delivery is coming
Imagine you’re a tradesperson waiting for materials for next week’s job.
You’ve got work booked in today, but the supplier can only give you a broad delivery window.
Or perhaps you run an online business and have another shipment of stock arriving while you’re out dealing with everything else that comes with running the company.
Having to choose between losing a day’s work and missing the delivery isn’t ideal.
That’s where combining business storage with delivery acceptance can become genuinely useful.
Your stock or suitable materials can potentially be delivered to Bee Storage, rather than everything having to revolve around you being there at exactly the right moment.

Why do we ask you to tell us first?
Deliveries come in all shapes and sizes.
A couple of boxes arriving with a courier is very different from a supplier turning up with a large pallet or bulky materials.
That’s why we ask customers to pre-notify the Bee Storage team.
We need to know roughly what’s coming, when it’s expected and how it’s arriving so we can confirm that the delivery can be safely accommodated.
There’s a good reason for doing it this way.
Health and Safety Executive guidance says safe deliveries depend on communication between the supplier, carrier and recipient, with the parties agreeing appropriate arrangements before the delivery takes place.[1]
HSE specifically recommends exchanging information in advance about deliveries and considering things such as the vehicle being used, the load and how unloading will take place.[1]
So don’t just send a lorry our way and hope for the best.
Give us a call first and we’ll tell you what we can accommodate.
What about pallets and larger deliveries?
Again, speak to us beforehand.
Depending on the delivery and what’s being stored, we may be able to accommodate larger items or palletised goods.
Where lifting equipment is required, this needs to be properly planned rather than assumed. HSE guidance requires lifting operations and lifting equipment used at work to be properly managed, with suitable equipment and competent operators.[2]
That’s another reason knowing what’s coming before it arrives matters.
If you’re expecting something larger than a normal parcel delivery, tell us exactly what’s being delivered and we’ll confirm what arrangements are possible.
Delivery sorted. What happens to the stock?
Once your goods have been received, you can arrange to move them into your storage and access them when you need them.
Bee Storage customers have site access 7am–7pm, seven days a week, so you can organise your stock, collect materials or load what you need around your working day.
For a tradesperson, that could mean collecting materials before heading to the next job.
For an online retailer, it could mean having additional stock stored away from home.
And for a growing local business, it could simply mean having somewhere for deliveries to go without taking on a warehouse purely for additional storage.
Business storage that works around your working day
Sometimes the value of business self storage isn’t simply having more square feet.
It’s having somewhere that makes running the business a little easier.
At Bee Storage, we can usually accommodate suitable deliveries when arrangements have been agreed with our team in advance.
So if you’re expecting stock, products or materials and can’t be there yourself, speak to us before arranging the delivery.
Tell us what’s coming and when it’s expected, and we’ll let you know whether we can accommodate it
